Goodrich Primary School London

Goodrich Primary School London

Goodrich Community Primary School is a school near Dulwich in South London.  The main school is housed in Victorian buildings that have evolved over time to meet the needs of the school, but which currently fail to reach contemporary standards for school buildings.

Client: Goodrich Community Primary School
Project Status: Completed
Budget: £225,000

Gort Scott was originally appointed to do a master plan for the school: a long-term strategy for improvements to the physical fabric of the building to allow projects to happen incrementally within a strategic framework.

The brief was to help the school achieve contemporary space standards for classrooms and other statutory provisions, whilst making sure that the school continued to provide inspiring and delightful spaces for learning.

Gort Scott has since been retained to carry out the design and oversee construction of the first phase of building works within the proposed master plan. This includes a number of new structures including a new classroom, glass-clad storage structure and play deck with a shiny canopy.
