Gort Scott has won a competition to redevelop and reconfigure key internal social spaces for St Catharine’s College in Cambridge. The project was one of six invited entries in a design competition, which included Sergison Bates, BGS Architects, MICA Architects, RH Partnership Architects and Wright and Wright Architects. 

The competition was focused on redeveloping key informal and formal social spaces within the College, including the hall and other dining areas, improving access to the 18th-century Sherlock Library, Senior Combination Room and the award-winning 2013 McGrath Centre. The brief also includes providing a new home for the College's Rare Book and Special Collections. 

Gort Scott was selected as Architects and Lead Designers and will work in collaboration with Max Fordham, Engineers HRW and Marcus Beale Architects.
